Mission

Scouting America's mission statement reads, "The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law." Troop 211 is devoted to delivering this mission to each boy in the troop.

Troop Operations

Troop 211 has as its basic premise, that the aims of Scouting shall be accomplished through a youth designed and led program which is based upon troop spirit, the outdoor program, service, recognition, and leadership accomplished through the Patrol Method.

The Troop annual program is based upon a tried and tested outline of activities. During our annual planning in August, the youth leadership takes this outline and fills in the blanks with detailed activities.

Troop Heritage

Scout Troop 211 has been in continuous operations since November, 1960. The troop was founded by youth who desired to belong to a group active in adventurous activities while having fun. Troop 211 honors its history, traditions, and troop spirit with each new youth who joins.
